  • They have lost last 5 T20 from the Afghanistan team so they will surely want to improve their record against them on their home soil but will not be easier as they will have face spin trio of Rashid Khan ,Mujeeb Zadran and Mohammad Nabi.
  • Ireland team's main pace bowler Boyd Rankin is back after nursing the back injury,however Ireland has named Tyrone Kane as cover for him as he is still not fully fit. Team's captain Gary Wilson said that he is hoping that Rankin will be fit but still he was not 100% sure.
  • Team captain also said that they have changed Kevin O Brian's batting position a lot so he will try to give him permanent position.
  • Paul Stirling will open the inning with one of J Shannon/W Porterfield..J Shannon impressed everyone with his hitting in his last t20 series against India while P Stirling was in very good form in t20 blast and team will hope he will continue his form here also.
  • A Bilbirne will bat at 1 down while one of Simi Singh and Kevin O Brian will bat at 2 down.A Bilbirne is in very good form .
  • Kevin O Brian is one of the best player of Ireland who can win the match for his team with both bat and ball while Simi Singh is also in good form .
  • G Wilson will bat at 3 down .He is a good hitter of ball .
  • One of Simi Singh and Kevin O brian will bat at 4 down while S Thompson will follow them.
  • George Dockrell will lead the spin attack of the team along with Paul Stirling.
  • Boyd Rankin(if fit) will lead the pace attack along with Peter Chase and Kevin O Brian.
  • It looks like one of Josh Little and A Mcbrine will play...A Mcbrine was in good form in recent A series so he is expected to be preferred.
